Cooking class: from the garden to the table!

Our experience begins..

...with a freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice from our estate on the panoramic terrace on the roof of the La Conca Azzurra hotel which remains within the Campitiello estate. You will be able to admire the beauty of the vertical rural landscape of the Amalfi Coast with a breathtaking view of the coast to the island of Capri in a suave atmosphere of relaxation. We describe the details of the experience that awaits you.

We begin with a guided tour through the Estate consisting of ancient stone walls called "macerine" that contain the terrain for crops.
You will understand why it is called "heroic" farming in one of the most vertical cultivated territories in the world.

The olive cultivars present are frantoio, leccino and carpellese from which an extra virgin olive oil of the highest quality is made, produced according to the rules of the DOP specification " Colline Salernitane"

After this immersive experience in cultivated nature you will move on to the culinary experience that you will have agreed upon at the time of booking.

We arrive in the kitchen of Calajanara Restaurant where the work will begin.
We will cook according to the Mediterranean diet:
Bread, pasta, fruits, vegetables, lots of legumes, extra virgin olive oil, citrus fruits, fish and little meat are the basic ingredients of the Mediterranean diet declared by UNESCO “Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.”

In the footsteps of Ancel Keys, the American who invented the Mediterranean diet, we learn how to cook in a simple and healthy way. You will learn the secrets of how to prepare delicious traditional dishes of the Coast cuisine: homemade pasta, simple and healthy sauces, fresh fish seasoned with the two products of excellence of the Mediterranean diet: extra virgin olive oil DOP and lemon Sfusato Amalfitano.

Afterwards you can taste the results of your work on the panoramic terrace of Calajanara Restaurant accompanying it with the excellent Amalfi Coast DOC wine.

With the final dessert you can enjoy limoncello made from the famous Sfusato amalfitano lemon from which the first limoncello was born centuries ago in the convent of San Pietro. The recipe for limoncello is printed on the apron that you will be adjusted to face when you go home and make your limoncello.
